There’s an undeniable vibe of anticipation that surges through Salt Lake when temperatures finally begin to drop and snowboard season is just around the corner. Rorschach Reunion at Santos Party House
Who the fuck is Rorschach? Well, back in the early nineties, when everything was awkward and made of hyper-color, this New Jersey quintet wrote some of the most dissonant and despondent hardcore ever. Their shit was so pissed it was literally scary. Packaged with suicidal imagery and rife with rumors of brutal violence both in their personal lives and at their live shows the band became something like an urban legend. Then they broke the fuck up. And why should you give a fuck? It’s pretty simple really, every band you like, liked Rorschach. Liked Deadguy? Rorschach. Like Converge? Rorschach. Playing Enemy? Rorschach. On and on. These dudes influenced a insane amount of bands who went on to do big things. So, it really shouldn’t surprise anyone that over 450 people turned out to see something they’ve only heard rumors of, Rorschach playing live for the first time in over 15 years. … read more
