Zuriick Shoes Store Opening 7.17.11

Zuriick Shoes Store Opening 7.17.11

On Friday night, Zuriick hosted the grand opening of their recently renovated space at 630 S. Stringfellow Ct.  They offered up a selection of their S/S ’11 lines along with a sales rack that had many tasty varieties of shoes and boots.  Food and drink were also provided by the hosts, along with a photoboth and free socks if you rode a bike.  The Zuriick space is one of the best that I’ve seen in SLC.  If you have a chance, go check it out and drop some hard earned dollars on a local company that’s doing big things in the clothing industry.

Explosions In The Sky kicks off the Twilight series.

Explosions In The Sky kicks off the Twilight series.

Last Tursday night, July 14, No Age and Explosions In The Sky kicked off the Twlight Summer Concert Series. No Age, the powerpop group out of Los Angeles, CA, opened up for the renowned Explosions In The Sky. The crowd in the park seemed unaffected by the opening band’s punky ploy, but everyone packed in as the sun went down and the promise of EITS loomed. Explosions came on and got the scene a little bit more bumping as the flow of people in the park moved around me like an endless tide. The Twlight Series has a deffinite focus on the music, but for this one, I found that seeing the hundreds of friends and just soaking up the Salt Lake summer vibes made the evening for me.
