5050 BMX in Layton sponsored The King of the Mountain Best Trick comp at Powder Mountain. On Aug. 20, 10 of the world’s best BMX riders threw down their best tricks to be crowned The King. The riders competed in 10 minute open jams in Best Tabletop, Best Turndown, Sweetest 360, Highest Air, Best Style and Best Trick. After an afternoon of hucking the dirt jump, Kyle Baldock walked away with Best Trick and the title of King of the Mountain. … read more

Craft Lake City 2011
Craft Lake City, an alternative crafts festival, celebrated its third year at the Gallivan on Saturday, Aug. 13, 2011. Over 180 artists and crafters were present, showing and selling their wares throughout the day to a crowd of over 12,000 people. This year, CLC featured two stages, with 21 different bands and performers entertaining festival attendees, along with a variety of food and drink vendors. … read more
