Now that Handle Salt Lake (HSL Restaurant) has opened its doors, any food junkie looking to get their fix should never succumb to the siren-like calls of the fast-food chains littering the streets of Salt Lake Valley. On April 13, the VIP party for select friends and family of cityhomeCollective and HSL alike was the perfect introduction to what is sure to become one of the biggest names in fine dining within our little city. Patrons from all walks of life came out to drink, eat and gaze upon the amazing décor and design provided by cityhomeCollective’s finest producers of eclectic and contemporary design. The HSL layout jumps right off the page from a cityhomeCollective catalog, with perfectly balanced pastel colors that are complemented by modernized furniture and well-placed mood lighting. The food itself deserves an award, as each and every dish being served was a masterpiece within its own right. From the perfectly battered chicken with its unique dipping sauces to the quinoa and barley salad with basil olive oil drizzle, my palate was exploding with excitement throughout the night. A personal favorite—and my greatest addiction—was the pork belly pizza with cilantro and jalapeño slices. Since then, not a night has gone without me counting the intervals between my last visit to HSL and my next.
