Townie’s CD release show in July said a lot about who they are, because the show also doubled as a benefit for Utah’s Local First organization, supporting local and independently owned businesses. Townie’s CD release show in July said a lot about who they are, because the show also doubled as a benefit for Utah’s Local First organization, supporting local and independently owned businesses. Townie started humbly and has managed to remain so to this day with music that is, quite simply, rock and roll with few frills or flash, but in the best way possible. They dip their toes into several different styles without trying to overdo it, and the lyrics are as honest as they are personal, keeping each song interesting in its own way. It is only fitting for a band with this kind of small town feel to pair their album release with a benefit show. Good stuff, gentlemen.
