Bad Bunny @ The Delta Center 2.21

Concert

Bad Bunny’s Most Wanted Tour kickoff on Wednesday, February 21 in Salt Lake City was a historic event, representing the Delta Center’s highest-grossing show ever

The Puerto Rican artist last performed live when headlining the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in April 2023, and has spent the past several years setting records and firsts. He was the most-streamed Spotify artist three years running, his World’s Hottest Tour was the top-grossing tour of 2022 and his album Un Verano Sin Ti was the first Spanish-language album to be nominated for the Grammys Album of the Year.

The arena crowd was a microcosm of Utah’s evolving demographics, who channeled the aesthetic of Bad Bunny’s latest release, Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va a Pasar Mañana, by donning cowboy hats and accompanying boots. As the lights dimmed, an orchestra took the rear stage and the conductor set the tone for the evening with an instrumental intro. Suspense built in the darkness—when Bad Bunny finally appeared, clad in a black suit and head covered in a black cloth, singing his titular track “Nadie Sabe” and flowing into “Monaco,” the crowd at the sold-out venue roared.

Riding a horse to set the stage for a subsequent act, accompanied by pyrotechnics, Bad Bunny worked his way through a 38-song setlist. As the Most Wanted Tour moves on to Las Vegas and 30 other cities, we’ll see what records get broken next for the King of Latin Trap.
