Napalm Flesh: Valdur – Vicious Existence
This week’s blog features an interview with Northern California’s Valdur, who released their second full-length album, Raven God Amongst Us, this week. The new album is eight tracks of tumultuous black metal, or, as Sxuperion sees the band, extreme metal—he doesn’t want to be lumped into the corpse-painted, spike-clad black metal scene. Also included are blog-exclusive and blog-related CD reviews. … read more
Primus @ The Rail
Going into this show I had no idea what to expect. I’d already seen Primus at the Snocore Music Tour in 1998 and they put on a great show with a random line up of punk, ska, and reggae bands. Several years later they’re wrapping up a their tour with another random group whipping the ass of the mainstream scene, Gogol Bordello. Both bands seem to be composed of crazy people and attract crazy fans. … read more
TRON!
Being the TRON freak that I am (only 105 days remaining until the sequel, “TRON: Legacy”, is in theaters), I get as giddy as a school girl when anything is released regarding Steven Lisberger’s original creation. With Disney’s upcoming release, the amount of TRON merchandise gearing up to hit the streets is surging, and my anticipation is bursting through the seams of my plaid skirt. … read more

Dew Tour Day 2
Friday, Sept. 17 was day two at the Dew Tour here in Salt Lake City. If you still haven’t checked it out, you’re running out of time. So hurry up! Dew Tour Day 3
Saturday, Sept. 18 was day three at the Dew Tour and by far the busiest of the four-day event. I checked out the Gatorade Free Flow skatepark finals where Salt Lake City local Tyson Bowerbank held it down and pulled off third place overall. … read more
Dew Tour Day 4
Sunday, Sept. 19 marked the last day of Dew Tour here in Salt Lake City for 2010. It was also the day I was waiting for to see the skate vert finals. The Arena was packed almost every seat filled fans watched in awe as the pros warmed up. As an intro Gatorade put on the grom demo where some super little kids shredded the ramp, there was even a seven year old who did cork 540s! I’d give him his props and shout out his name but due to regulations names of the kids weren’t released. … read more
