13th Annual Bunny Hop @ The Garage on Beck 4.09

LGBTQ+

There’s no better place to be on Easter Sunday than Garage on Beck for Jesse Walker’s 13th Annual Bunny Hop

The sun was shining, the temperature was perfect, and the vibes were just right. Garage on Beck was decked out with Easter eggs in the trees, streamers and bunnies everywhere! People of all ages and identities came together to listen to local music and enjoy the holiday. Attendees got to experience award-winning local DJs spinning records from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Guests hunted for candy-filled Easter eggs and won prizes such as Easter baskets. On top of local DJs, the Easter Bunny made the rounds and took pictures with guests, including special guest Aaron Tichenor aka BoyaBADDIE!

Outfits and makeup were immaculate on this fine day. Glamorous outfits and bunny ears added to the springy embrace of the long-awaited warm weather. This is how Easter Sundays are supposed to feel.

A portion of the proceeds from Jesse Walker’s 13th Annual Bunny Hop benefitted Encircle and Genderbands. Encircle is a local nonprofit that centers around operating community resource centers for LGBTQ+ youth and their families. Encircle’s work helps “bring families and the community together to enable our LGBTQ+ youth to thrive.” Genderbands is a Utah-based international nonprofit focused on serving transgender, non-binary and gender non-conforming individuals by helping them pay for their transition-related costs. They also help organize the annual Utah Trans Pride Festival, which helps bring visibility to our amazing Utah trans community.

Jesse Walker’s Annual Bunny Hop! brings together people from all sorts of different backgrounds to celebrate spring and make a positive social impact. The “Hop” takes place every year on Easter Sunday. We can’t wait to see what next year has in store!

Please check out all of the festivities and surprise guest photos. Enjoy!
