“Free Tyler!” shouted Mario Cuomo, singer of The Orwells as they took the stage to play their first song. This was a reference to Tyler The Creator, who was arrested earlier today for instigating a riot during yesterday’s SXSW Thrasher/Converse Death Match Party at The Scoot Inn. Cuomo then ranted briefly about Tyler’s right to Free Speech before launching into an electrifying set, cumulating with Cuomo hanging dangerously from the rafters of the temporary erected stage and punching-out the stage lights.
