“I think about it all the time. When my father was my age, he had just graduated as one of the first non-segregated classes from a Denver high school. His community was being rebuilt into one of acceptance and equal opportunity for their future and the future of their children. Forty years later, and now I ride BMX bikes off jumps and throw concerts. Until now, the main narrative has not focused on the issues that were swept under the rug after the revolution, which my father’s generation started. We owe it to him and the ones who came before us in the battle for justice to do what we can to help in times like these and appreciate the things they made possible for us.” –Adrian Evans
