I always wanted to go to Alaska. It seems to me that anyone who has snowboarded has dreamed of making it there and having the opportunity to push their snowboarding to the limit. In Alaska anything can happen––good or bad. The landscape alone speaks for itself. Sure the mountains in Utah might be just as tall, but you don’t see them protruding from the ocean like huge fangs. Everything in Alaska just seems bigger and better. … read more

How do you decide? The pros you look up to are a good indication of what size you buy your pants… … read more

Jeremy Seegmiller: Too Hot to Handle

Jeremy Seegmiller: Too Hot to Handle
By

Last May, a small but dedicated group of friends and fellow shredders, including Jeremy Seegmiller and I, made the trek up to Mt. Hood. The plan was simple: shred, camp and rage, all while being as dirtball as possible. About two weeks into the adventure, things went terribly awry. A thirty-bomb of Milwaukee’s Beast, a can of white gas, and an unruly campfire later, Seegmiller was in the Portland burn center with second-degree burns covering most of his legs. … read more

Forum knows a few things about diversifying their riders—and I’m not just talking about Stevie Bell. Forum’s new movie Fuck It brings something to the table for all types of shredders to snack on. More than any other movie that dropped this fall, Fuck It covered all the shred basics– urban jibs, massive park jumps and backcountry powder goodness.

Summer Huh? Almost Made It!

A late June Sunday usually calls for a celebration, a picnic or BBQ with the family, maybe even a bowling outing. Not this Sunday, nope this year on Sunday, June 20th, marked the end of yet another epic winter in Utah’s Wasatch Canyons. Snowbird welcomed the snow community for one last rendezvous 11,000 feet up from sea level. With over 600 inches of snowfall this past season, the Bird was able to extend our beloved season almost into summer (marked by June 21st, also Go Skate Day! What a week!). Despite warm temps and the rapidly depleting base, conditions were far better than most could have expected and made for some spectacular riding and skiing.
