Prinzhorn Dance School = The xx + Big Audio Dynamite / Joy Division

Tobin Prinz and Suzi Horn’s latest studio release Home Economics is a heavily ’80s rock–infused album that maintains a steady rhythm to keep your toe tapping throughout the short six tracks. Their setup is pretty minimal with just a guitar, bass and some drums that consistently march through the notes of each track. “Education” sounds like a cheaper version of a classic Joy Division track mashed with some Pixies vocals. Prinz’s vocals aren’t my favorite, to be completely honest, and I could live without them. If you like The xx circa 2010, you’re gonna love this shit. –Kamryn Feigel
